STEP 10 - IN THE LAUNDRY ROOM

broken image

On to the LAUNDRY ROOM. Have you ever taken a freshly dried load of laundry from the dryer, only to be disappointed that the clothes didn’t smell as fresh and clean as you thought they would?

Did you know that commercial laundry soaps and fabric softeners leave behind a residue, and that, after time, this residue builds up in your laundry and actually allows germs to attach themselves to the core fibers in your laundry?

These recipes will help remove that buildup, get rid of those nasty germs, and have your laundry smelling amazingly fresh and clean.

STRIP THE BUILDUP LAUNDRY REJUVENATOR RECIPE

• 1/2 c. Baking Soda

• 1/2 c. Distilled White Vinegar
• 10 drops Melaleuca Essential Oil

• 10 drops Lemon Essential Oil

Sprinkle the Baking Soda over the load of laundry in your washer and add Essential Oils. Add Distilled White Vinegar to the bleach dispenser of your washing machine and wash with warm to hot water, depending on the colorfastness of your laundry load.

NOTE: Don’t worry about your laundry smelling like Vinegar: after drying, the smell does not last. And as an added bonus, Vinegar also acts as a natural softener for fabrics and doesn’t harm your clothes!

A TOUCH OF FRESHENESS DRYER SHEET RECIPE

• 3 drops Lemon Essential Oil
• 3 drops Lavender Essential Oil
• 3 drops Melaleuca Essential Oil

• Old T-shirts

Everyone has old t-shirts lying around. Instead of throwing them away, cut them into four-inch-by-four-inch squares, apply the Essential Oils above, and add them to your dryer load.

QUESTION – WHAT HAVE YOU USED IN THE PAST WHEN YOUR LAUNDRY HASN’T BEEN AS FRESH AS IT SHOULD BE?
